Robotics Lab team partnered with Chatswood Public School's year 5 & 6 students early this year as part of CSIRO's Scientists in Schools program. Over 7 weeks students learnt about basic engineering concepts such as simple machines, working in teams and developing ideas. We had several team members delivering presentations to the students including our visiting artist from Canada - Erin Gee, our resident scientist - Christian Kroos and the roboticist - Damith Herath. Over the course of the project, students turned a simple buggy cart into a 'fully fledged' dream robot. It was inspiring to see the students flying with their creative ideas.
